What should you look for in a 55+ community:
Age Range and Restrictions: Most 55+ communities require at least one of the buyers has to be 55 years old or older. Some communities require all occupants to be 55+ and may have restrictions to under 55 occupants or children.
Active Lifestyle: If seeking an active 55+ community you will want to know what the community offers such as tennis, golf, club house, social activities like holiday gatherings, card games, group excercise classes or learnings.
Homeowners Association Fee: You will want to make sure you understand what is covered with this fee. Some communities have restaurants or golf courses and the fees for these may not be part of the association fee but additional.
Sense of Community: Being a member of a community where you have similar interests can offer stability, opportunities to connect with others and feeling safe and secure.
